Playback and confirm the high-quality videos from your drive on the large 3.0” full-colour screen. Thanks to the intuitive GUI including large and legible text, operations can be performed with ease.
With its 3.7 megapixel CMOS sensor, Dash Cam DRV-A700W/A501W captures Wide Quad HD video at 30fps, 1.8 times as many pixels as Full HD, making super-high-resolution recording and replay possible.
The KENWOOD DASH CAM MANAGER app allows you to easily change the menu settings of your dashcam (DRV-A700W/ DRV-A601W/ DRV-A501W) and browse through your videos from your smartphone in an intuitive way. On your smartphone, you can check recorded videos as well as real-time live views. By downloading the video/photo files into your smartphone, you can even review them while routing on Google Maps with the GPS information such as speed, G-sensor and distance, and edit the videos to share them on social media. Download the app from App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) on your smartphone.
HDR helps to reduce “blown-out highlights” and “crushed blacks” and ensure clear images in challenging environments, including backlit scenes in daylight, streetlight scenes at night and places where light-dark contrast is particularly severe, such as at tunnel entrances/exits.
When the built-in G-sensor with adjustable sensitivity detects any sudden motion, the dash cam will automatically save and lock the recording to protect it from being deleted. The integrated 3-axis sensor records G-force which shows the direction and the strength of possible impact. With the accurate speed and location data supplied by the built-in GPS receiver, the dashboard camera will keep track of your vehicle’s physical location to show the route travelled and speed you were going on playback with the desktop software or the wireless smartphone link app.
When your vehicle is parked and turned off, the Smart Parking Mode becomes active. If your vehicle is subject to a collision or other physical impacts, your dashcam powers on thanks to the built-in G-Sensor and automatically records 30 seconds of video. The hardwire kit CA-DR1030 (optional accessory) is required for permanent power.
This prevents the video file being recorded from being corrupted if power is lost due to a collision or other physical impacts, as it provides enough power to allow the file to save properly.
A suction cup and an adhesive mount are included in the package. The suction mount makes it easier to attach and detach from the windshield while the adhesive mount provides more solid support for the camera.
The patent-designed magnetic mount, unlike the traditional mounts which use a latching mechanism, allows you to place and remove the device simply and instantly. No cable to connect or disconnect from the dashcam.
DRV-A700W/ DRV-A601W/ DRV-A501W include a Polarizer Filter. This reduces such things as dashboard reflection on the windscreen, which may appear in certain positions or due to weather conditions and helps lessen the glare on sunny days, making it possible to record clear outside images.
By connecting the optional rear camera KCA-R100 it is possible to record front and rear directions simultaneously, both in Full HD quality. The optional rear window camera KCA-R100 offers all-around protection to guard against everything from tailgaters and rear-end impacts, to knocks and bumps in a car park. It uses a 161° ultra-wide viewing angle to capture the whole road behind. The compact rear window camera KCA-R100 has a 180° rotational lens for easy installation and can easily be connected to your compatible Dash Cam DRV-A501W camera via an 8m long cable. When you connect the rear window camera KCA-R100, the resolution of your dashboard camera DRV-A501W will automatically adjust to managing two Full HD resolution video files.
